Privacy Policy
Local transfer designed to keep your content on your devices.
1. Privacy at a Glance
- No advertising SDK or cross-app tracking is used.
- No developer-operated analytics or remote logging service is used in the current version.
- User-selected files, photos, videos, and clipboard text are processed for App functionality.
- Smart History processing uses on-device technology on supported Apple devices.
- Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple's own privacy terms.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how BridgeSend ("we," "us," or the "App") handles information when you use the iPhone or iPad application, its local browser interface, BridgeSend Pro, Siri and Shortcuts actions, and related features.
This policy does not govern the privacy practices of Apple, your internet provider, your network administrator, the browser on another device, or other third parties.
3. Information Processed by the App
| Content you select | Photos, videos, documents, filenames, file types, file sizes, and other files selected for transfer or uploaded through the local browser. |
|---|---|
| Clipboard content | Text you explicitly enter, read, copy, send, or receive through the clipboard feature. |
| Local network data | Your device's local IP address, local service port, Bonjour service information, temporary session token, access-code setting, and connection requests needed to operate the local transfer page. |
| Transfer history | Locally stored event type, date, filenames or references, byte counts, clipboard text where applicable, renamed titles, summaries, categories, and tags. |
| Purchase status | Product identifiers and verified subscription entitlement status supplied through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment-card information. |
| Preferences | App language, access-code preference, onboarding state, free-use status, and other settings stored on your device. |
4. How Information Is Used
The App processes information only as needed to:
- Publish a temporary browser page on your local network.
- Send, receive, preview, save, search, rename, delete, or share content again at your direction.
- Protect browser access with a temporary session token and optional six-digit access code.
- Save received photos or videos to Photos and other files to app-accessible storage when you request it.
- Create and display transfer history and smart organization metadata.
- Determine free or Pro feature availability and restore verified purchases.
- Run actions you initiate through Siri, Shortcuts, or App Intents.
We do not use your content to build advertising profiles, sell personal information, or train a developer-operated AI model.
5. Device Permissions
Local Network
Required to make the temporary BridgeSend browser service available to devices on the same local network.
Photos
Used to let you select photos and videos for transfer and, with your permission, save received media to the system photo library. The system picker may provide only the items you select.
Files
The system file picker gives the App access to files you choose. Received non-media files may be saved to App storage or exported to the Files app at your direction.
Clipboard
Clipboard content is accessed only when you use a clipboard-related action. iOS may display its own paste permission notice.
Siri and Shortcuts
App Intents expose supported actions to Apple's Siri and Shortcuts systems. Your use of those Apple services is also governed by Apple's privacy policy and device settings.
You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may make the related feature unavailable.
6. Local Transfers and Other Recipients
BridgeSend sends content to the browser or device that you connect to the local transfer session. That device and its user become recipients of the content you choose to share. Browser downloads may be stored according to that browser's settings.
The App does not route transfer content through a BridgeSend cloud service. However, local HTTP transfer traffic may not be end-to-end encrypted. Use only trusted networks, keep access protection enabled where appropriate, do not share the local URL or code publicly, and stop the service when finished.
Network operators, enterprise administrators, or a person with control of the local network may have technical visibility into unencrypted network traffic. VPNs, routers, firewalls, and browsers are controlled by their respective providers.
7. Smart History and Foundation Models
On supported systems and compatible devices, BridgeSend uses Apple's Foundation Models framework to generate localized history titles, summaries, categories, and tags. The App supplies relevant local transfer metadata, such as filenames, file types, sizes, and clipboard text, to the on-device model for this purpose.
The Foundation Models analysis is performed on device. BridgeSend does not send this content to a developer-operated AI server. If the model is unavailable, the App uses deterministic local rules. Generated metadata may be stored with transfer history until you delete it.
8. Purchases and Apple Services
BridgeSend Pro purchases and subscription status are handled through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple may process your Apple Account, transaction, tax, billing, and diagnostic information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive only the information needed to determine and provide your verified entitlement.
9. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
App preferences, free-use status, transfer history, clipboard records, and eligible transferred files or references may be stored locally on your device. Active session and inbox information may be cleared when you stop a transfer, while history can remain until you delete it or remove the App.
Some history items refer to Photos library assets. If the original asset is removed or permission changes, it may no longer be available for sharing again. Files exported to Photos, Files, a browser, or another device are controlled by the destination and are not deleted when you clear BridgeSend history.
You can delete individual history records in the App. You can remove remaining local App data by deleting the App, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior controlled by Apple.
10. Security
BridgeSend uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to a local transfer utility, including a temporary session token, optional access code, user-controlled service start and stop, and iOS sandbox protections. No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for the security of your network, connected devices, and shared access information.
11. Children
BridgeSend is not directed specifically to children and does not provide public profiles or social features. If a child is not old enough to consent to data processing in their country or region, a parent or legal guardian should supervise use of the App.
12. International Use and Legal Rights
Privacy rights vary by location. Because the current App does not require an account or collect transfer content on a developer server, most content can be managed directly on the device. You may contact us to ask privacy questions or exercise rights available under applicable law.
13. Policy Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App, law, Apple platform requirements, or our practices. The updated policy will be posted here with a new effective date. We will provide additional notice where required by law.
